NORMS & STANDARDS

Alongside an attractive design, the highest levels of quality and safety are also our top priorities – these are the basis for each and every one of our products. All Filtral sunglasses comply with the international standard ISO 12312 and all Filtral reading glasses meet the European standard EN 14139.
 

All Filtral glasses bear the CE mark and thus document their compliance with the EU directives. The quality of the products is also regularly checked by recognised testing institutes.

Filtral applies a quality management system and is certified according to international standards ISO 9001 and ISO 13485. All products are therefore subject to strict controls – this guarantees the highest quality and safety.

In the company’s own testing facilities (certified in accordance with ISO 9001), Filtral’s sunglasses and reading glasses are tested well beyond the requirements of the international standards. In addition, the products and materials are tested by the TÜV Rheinland group and other accredited testing institutes.
 

Filtral has a certified energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001 and an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001.

Both of which are constantly being developed as part of the uvex group's sustainability strategy.

We employ our own QM team members in Asia who monitor the quality of production in our suppliers' factories during manufacturing. In this way, we ensure that our quality standards are met before and during the manufacturing process.

As a member of amfori BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative), Filtral places great importance on compliance with established social standards in the manufacturing facilities. To guarantee this, we audit the suppliers regularly in accordance with the amfori BSCI code of conduct.
